We have a beautiful home on around 4 acres with one of the best vistas that is ever changing of both the Ruahine Ranges and farmlands.Most of which belongs our 8 Goldens Retievers (numbers do tend to fluctuate) 2 cats Ragnar the best ratter ever and his sister Mini, 10 Chooks and a couple of cows.
For 24 odd years Murray run Allandale Bobcat Services specialising in the new development of both new and existing Avocado orchards with and normal bobcat work...
He was also heavily involved in my business We- Dig-It Landscapes. formerly Girls Gardening Ltd. a super busy landscape design and garden maintenance business I started up and ran with a great bunch ladies for 23 years, specialising in large properties many being entered into Tauranga's
prestigious Garden & Arts Festival over the years. Many clients were still with us when we hung up our gloves and steel capped boots and retire here

German Shepherds, Afghan Hounds and Labs had been in our lives as favoured pets, until in March 2001 a beautiful little 7 1/2 week old Golden Retriever we named Azra, (aka. NZ Show Champion Cambermere Ezra Holy Whisper came into our lives...)
Myself and Helen Young, the owner of Azra's mum and Anna, Azra's sister decided to give the show ring a try... will I was hooked and my life long passion for Golden Retrievers flourished..
I love showing my dogs and Azra was the best dog to start with. He is the first into the car and just is the best show off with that" look at me attitude" he has never tired of showing off....with many dog challenges of which the first 8 made him a Show Champion, dozens of Best Of Breed placings, and many In Group and In Show placings. His best being RESERVE BEST IN SHOW at the Hamilton all breeds show with around 850 dogs entered that morning.
Azra was still winning, with his last ribbon being 'Veteran In Show' at the Golden Retriever Club Champion Show on the 14th August 2010 and"Veteran In Show" at BOP Gundog show on the 10 October 2010.
He was a proven Stud dog, produced lovely progeny. and lives on thru my kennel lines in every dog today and was my inspiration.
For anyone thinking of breaking into the show ring...

Goldie people are great and helpful and always willing to give you tips and guidance .. Its always good to go and watch a few shows and don't be put off if you ask questions as we are going into the show ring... just wait till later...
